Kenaikan BBM menjadi semacam polemik berkala di negara kita, setiap tahunnya pasti akan terjadi kenaikan harga BBM dengan berbagai alasan. Mulai dari beratnya tanggungan hutang luar negri, dana APBN yang terjepit, dan kali ini alasan naiknya harga minyak dunia.
Sangat rasional memang alasan pemerintah menaikkan harga BBM dengan mengangkat isu kenaikan harga minyak dunia, hitungan matematisnya masuk deh pokoknya. Apalagi memang selama ini kita menikmati harga minyak dengan bantuan subsidi pemerintah (subsidi itu uang rakyat juga lho..!) Dan seperti yang sudah dijalankan oleh pemerintah tahun lalu, kali ini juga pemerintah akan menggulirkan dana BLT (Bantuan Langsung Tunai) kepada rakyat miskin sebagai kompensasi dari kenaikan harga BBM.

I want to build the ultimate powerful games station, which can play the latest high end games. I’m an absolute gamer. I’m a game freak. Therefore I would love to build the perfect PC and making it the most absolute game system ever assembled. And so after months and months gathering some information about the latest hardware up dates, I finally made up my mind to build my gaming PC based on AMD’s processor. I choose AMD64FX as the main processor. It’s fast with the best elapse time. And the newest and furious ATI Radeon XE graphic cards with 516Mb core clock! Not to mention I added more fire power on RAM sector with the latest DDR II at size of approximately of 2Gb! So this should be enough to play any of the high shading latest games.

But there is one problem remains. I still can decide what kind of Hard Drives that I’m going to use. For the ultimate game station PC we can ignore this storage device. Any lag during playing games maybe cause by this sector. Read the rest of this entry »

As a single parent, I have to support my family life by working a whole day on an advertising agency down town. I’ve been work there for almost 7 years for now ever since I was still single. But now I’m a single mum with one 3 years old kid. My husband and I have decided to get divorce a few months ago. So I’m now on my own with my kid. And while I’m working at day time, I have to leave her at home. Off course I have a babysitter to watch over and take care my kid while I’m away. She’s been with us ever since she was a baby. She’s a good babysitter. She takes care of my child like one of her own.

But recently she has to quit, because she has to follow her husband out of town. And so I have to find another one. And I found one. But I’m not quite sure about this new babysitter. Read the rest of this entry »

Ternyata semangat nasionalis terlalu dominan dalam menimbang keputusan mengenai kelanjutan berdirinya NAMRU di Indonesia, meninggalkan pertimbangan semngat keilmuan dan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Hal ini jelas sekali terlihat dari pernyataan-pernyataan yang terlontar dari bibir si “ibu sehat” (ibu Mentri Kesehatan) Indonesia, Siti Fadilah Supari, yang tegas-tegas menolak keberadaan dan kelajutan kegiatan NAMRU karena disangkakan telah melakukan kegiatan intelijen di daerah kedaulatan RI. Benarkah??

NAMRU-2 (Naval Medical Research Unit-2) sendiri berdiri sejak tahun 1970an dalam melaksanakan penelitian medis serta ilmiah mengenai penyakit tropis di Indonesia dengan tenaga kerja sekitar 90% (150 orang) adalah orang Indonesia sendiri. Lingkup penelitian Namru-2 meliputi malaria, penyakit-penyakit akibat virus seperti demam berdarah, infeksi usus yang mengakibatkan diare, dan penyakit menular lainnya termasuk flu burung. Daripada pusing nyari dan mikirin video Fitna dari Youtube (yang akhirnya aksesnya di seluruh Indonesia di blok), mending liat performance anak-anak American Idols waktu nyanyiin Shout to the Lord. Sudah sekitar 2 tahunan lebih belum pernah dengar lagu ini dinyanyikan lagi, padahal ada di PC list MP3 (kayaknya sih hehehe…)

Terletak di daerah tepian danau Toba, sebuah kabupaten dengan pesona alamnya yang indah dinamakan Kabupaten Tobasa dengan ibukota Balige. Dan konon, selain karena keindahan alamnya dan sumber daya manusianya, kabupaten ini sudah tersohor ke seantero propinsi Sumatra Utara sebagai kabupaten terkorup, walaupun memang belum ada data legal mengenai sangkaan tersebut diatas.
Dan akhirnya karena keprihatinan melihat keadaan yang semakin membusuk di daerahnya, seorang rekan wartawan putra daerah bernama Ir.Ivan Napitupulu mendirikan sebuah LSM yang khusus memfokuskan diri pada seputar topik korupsi, dinamakan LSM Bersama Toba. Sudah banyak surat peringatan dan teguran disampaikannya kepada pihak yang didugakan terlibat dalam kolusi-kolusi nakal, dan apabila tidak digubris, akan dituliskan di media cetak lokal agar masyarakat publik dapat ikut menjalankan fungsi pengawasannya.
